1. Anyone here for a Windows Help Project?
Hello there,
I had started a Windows Help Project a while back. What im wondering
now is are there many people who program in Euphoria who could use
a Help program/file that explains the more common Windows
function calls in detail (the actual dll calls and how they translate
to a Euphoria file)?
It would be a rather large undertaking but would eventually contain
quite a bit of help for people who want to know how to program under
Windows using raw Eu Windows code (like retv=c_func(xCreateWindow,...))
and linking information too.

Hello Al,
I'll help you. What do you want me to do?
I downloaded your Help10 but it's an .exe file, so I can't do anything with
that. I can't make heads or tails out of it anyway.
I think you have XP, but in win2k if you go to start/help/index and start typing
that's the way I would like to see a help file set up.
Thanks for the tip on WS_DLGFRAME I'm going to try it when I get a chance.
I've decided to forget about a schematic drawing program. I fix TVs and VCRs
and some Computers. But don't use schematics much anymore. Like for an older
computer power supply, you don't really need a schematic to figure out the 5 and
12 volt connection.

Hi there Don,
Oh ok, so you want to work on a general Windows Help for Euphoria?
What i was thinking was the help would show how to use raw Windows API
in Euphoria, not a library, but would show how a library could start
out perhaps.
For example, the function CreateWindowEx(...) 'C' definition would be
shown followed by the most conventional wrapping like:
global constant xCreateWindowEx=etc.
but would also include some help with the parameters too, and how
they translate to Euphoria.
Sound interesting?
Oh you were talking about a schematic drawing program?
I thought we were talking about a circuit "analysis" program,
that looks at all the parts in the schematic and then does
a transient, dc, or ac analysis, with a plot output window to
show waveforms.
I guess we could start with a drawing program first though.

Hello Al,
I finally got Ubuntu installed (I had a bad CD drive) and I have a million
questions and problems with that. I'll email you a bitmap of my idea for the
drawing project.

I got hung up with Ubuntu.
The cell size would have to be decided on. Probably in pixals.

I was saying I could do switches.
You decide on size if you have eugrid going, I don't, but could pretty easily.

Hi Don,
I see what you mean...but arent there a lot of schematic drawing
programs out there? Or, is it you'd like to do it in Euphoria anyway?
Or, is it you'd like to do it in Euphoria so we could (later) interface
it with an analysis program (would be very interesting i think)?

Well really I think you're right commercial software is probably out there.
I want to back off right now. I've got a new project (getting ubuntu to work
with winmodem) and like I said "I'm really not using scematics much anymore". I
was just saying how I think it should be done.
