Hello, This is mainly to test the bitmap upload function Rob was talking about. Click on the url below to see if the bitmap comes up in your browser. If not, copy and paste the url into the browser and try it that way. rc filter: http://www.rapideuphoria.com/uploads/rc-01.gif text url: [http://www.rapideuphoria.com/uploads/rc-01.gif] If this doesnt work i'll probably try something else Take care, Al And, good luck with your Euphoria programming! Why were you unsure this would work? The "uploads" temp directory has been used for years. I think you can submit any type of file; RDS just decides what to do with the files. Regards, Vincent

Perhaps i didnt understand what you meant...but in any case i wanted to see how it worked first hand. I guess i never noticed this EF functionality before now Yes, it would be nicer to have the bitmap right in with the text, but it's not too bad the way it is now. An improvement would be to include a button right in the Forum reply window to allow uploading a bitmap (as a link) which would mean you wouldnt have to nav to the archives/uploadnew/ in order to save the bitmap in temp storage. Any other ideas? Take care, Al And, good luck with your Euphoria programming! My bumper sticker: "I brake for LED's"

I guess i never noticed this EF functionality before now What I meant is you cannot place images with text using IMG tags, it will not work. But you could of always placed links here, people do it all the time. > Yes, it would be nicer to have the bitmap right in with the text, but > it's not too bad the way it is now. RDS probably doesn't mind a few temp files but I doubt they want users to think that they can use it as free webspace. If everyone started uploading images RDS would eventually need to go through them all and delete them. If you want to host images but do not have any web-space or an FTP, try uploading them to "imageshack.us" or "photobucket.com". Doing that will save RDS time and garrentee your links remain valid for a long time. > Al Regards, Vincent

I dont mind with temp items anyway. More perm stuff i put elsewhere on the web...someone donated some web space for the EE course im giving so i put most electrical stuff there anyway (if it's worth keeping and/or having other people learn from it that is).
