1. So Rob...

I'm just wondering if you thought about other features for v3.0 yet. I have no
more feature requests for now, but am curious as to what you're thinking about.

I remember you saying that you would propose feature ideas here and users could
vote for which ones they like. Is this plan still on the table?

Yes, that's still the plan.
I've been a bit "under the weather" lately, so it might
be a few days before I gather together some ideas and post them.

How are you feeling Rob?

Sorry to bring this up again. I don't mean to be pushy but I noticed it is March
5th already and the 8th marks a year since the offical release of Eu v2.5. Thats
about a year and a half since the alpha release.

Its about time for another release, but I know you have a ways to go until an
alpha. So I'm wondering if maybe things should start rolling again? Just a
thought.

I disagree. The multi tasking / threading release has just come out, and it
needs time to settle / be used / have any final bugs ironed out.

Perhaps its time you started using the language, rather than asking for new
features, which, at least for me (and I wouldn't care to speak for others here)
have little application in the real world.

Chris thats why there were releases before this:

* Tasking PD-source : release #1
* Tasking PD-source : release #2
* Tasking interpreter & translator : release #1
* Tasking interpreter & translator : release #2
* Tasking interpreter & translator : release #3

Michael Nelson and I pointed out bugs with the tasking PD-source and RDS took
care of them. I pointed out another one with the tasking translator. Things seems
stable now but if there are more subtle bugs lurking around, then that is what
alpha, beta, and official releases are for.

I use Euphoria often, though College eats some my programming time. I just dont
engage in conversations about what I do. I haven't really evolved to GUI
programming just yet and mostly develop console graphic animations and small
utility programs and libraries. I like to toy with the Public Domain source code
often as well. I try to engage in discussions that pertain to improving the
language and offer advice or solutions to help RDS.

I'm back to normal. Thanks.

I'll get rolling again very soon.
It's tempting, after a release,
to freeze the code for a while, and take a rest.

So what?

You're observations are nothing new. Most users don't care about your perceived
namespace isses (especially since you've just pointed out that your limited
experience couldn't have possibly encountered any *real* issue of this nature). I
also believe that the majority of users have little need for multitasking and
just might, therefore, have little urgency to test the current implementation.

Now I'm not saying that these features are bad things but the way you are
presenting yourself to an established user of the language and community doesn't
come off very nicely in my opinion.

Many of us were in college once too, but we were too busy having fun and/or
studying instead of trying to influence a programming language we didn't know
existed at the time.

But that's just *my* thought on the matter. Please feel free to engage in
further discussion with me personally (preferably "offline").

Hi Brain,

I believe I have presented myself quite adequately and have established my
place. I could care less what you think of me and my opinions. However if you
have a problem with me I'd be delighted to intensify the conflict in person.
