Circa 03:57 PM 4/23/98 CE, Ralf and David wrote a lot of stuff about structures which I will not quote here. Ok, all that makes sense, but the real issue as far as I am concerned is not speed, not efficiency, but: 1. The ability to build sequences without losing the ability to type-check assignments to the sequence elements. (someone wrote an example of how to do this, in a roundabout way, but it requires a separate bunch of code for each different type of sequence, and re-writing with each change to an existing sequence) 2. The ability to refer to an element of a sequence by name, without maintaining a separate constant list (NAME=1, ADDR=2....) which is just another place for errors and conflicts to creep in. If structures turn out to be slow, so be it. I bet they won't be slower than QbaSick! The real question is: could structures be implemented with an include file, or will it require RDS to hack the code? Irv
