thanks, but no luck. I suspect it was the IE that let explorer link up.
I guess now I'll have to include a setup program/option and acompanying ini
file, but I'd have to do that for the win 3.xers anyway. one more try
though; does anyone know where win95 keeps its record of the pathnames for
this sort of thing, or any other way to gain access to this information?
other programs have to do it somehow.
