1. 300 Statements Furore, Diskmag, 3D, Computing, Religion, etc.

It's not that hard to get up to 300 statements. I though "300! Blimey! I'll never do that much", but I got up to it quite quickly with my robotic-arm controlling project. It works now (just in time for the deadline), by the way (thanks for a couple of replies to my inquiry a while ago). Personally, I can cope with using trace(1) and as I'm not spending the money on Eu Full version am not complaining. I might stop being a stingy git (for once in my life) in a while and register it, though. As for the diskmag, am I doing something that nobody wants here, or do you just all need prodding to write stuff? I seem to remember Pete saying he'd write something a while ago (maybe that was in a private mail, though). Come on everybody! BTW, is anybody doing a 3D engine? Using the excellent ModeX lib? I can do one with flat shaded polygons at about one frame every year, but not much else. Gouraud-shading? Textured? EuQuake?!! Oh, and would it be a good idea for me to write 'Visual Win32lib' for my A-Level Computing project? It might have to be in (excuse my swearing) VB, though, as EuW32 looks a tad complicated to write in (without 'Visual Win32lib', of course!) Panic! Exams in a few days! Stephen Spencer stephen.spencer at usa.net http://members.xoom.com/sspencer And just in case anybody cares: I am an atheist I am English I like ham and pineapple pizza I can speak and understand French and Italian, and can understand Latin. If anybody wants to know any more about me then I suggest you e-mail me. In the meantime: talk about Euphoria not about religion, pizzas languages or any such irrelevant rubbish. This has been a public service announcement. Signal to noise ratio and all that. Thankyou.

I might be able to help on some subjects. (Perhaps some arcade game AI theory...?) >BTW, is anybody doing a 3D engine? Yeah, what 3d advancements have been made? Anybody up to porting Descent (the source code has been released... Check it out at www.descent2.com) to Euphoria? I might be able to take a shot at it in a couple weeks. (BTW, the porter(s) will only be regarded as heros by other Euphoria programmers, and won't be able to make money off it. It's the condition you accept by using the source code. (But I'm sure there will be plenty of $1.00 donations each month.. ;) ) _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
