Anyone wanting better consistency and tighter control in printf() can write a replacement in Eu. There should be negligible performance penalty vs. the native C library, as writing to the screen or a file is extremely slow compared to printf()'s internal calculations. I may try this myself when I have some time. -- Mike Nelson
