I would not endanger *my* grades by relying on the Win32Lib which is, by =
the nature of still being early alpha, very unstable.

The graphics library is the code portion most in the state of flux. =
There are a number of unfinished and undocumented functions in Win32Lib =
that will ultimately support a visual interface, such as functions for =
returning control locations and extents, and drawing dashed lines.

Creation of window controls is fairly stable, though.=20

You could write a "geometry manager" for Win32Lib that would, given a =
set of constraints, arrange controls in a window in a visually pleasing =
manner. This is one thing that Tcl does that I think is fairly cool. The =
book "Tcl and the Tk Toolkit" covers how the Tk packer works in some =
detail (without giving code), and would probably make an acceptable =
project.

But if you want to go ahead with the project, I'd be glad to help if you =
have any problems with Win32Lib.

[Where's The Latest Win32Lib Release?]

Ok, ok... my weekend got skewed again (it's been a *very* busy couple of =
weeks for me), and so I ended up not getting a chance to work on =
Win32Lib. I'll try to finish the next release tonight. Really. After =
all, who needs sleep?

[What's Up With WinMan?]

After a couple of weeks of going off on tangents (OOP, MGL, researching =
cross platform libraries, etc.) I've finally made some real progress =
with WinMan. I explored a lot of different alternatives, I've pretty =
much adopted Irv's approach to classes - it seems the most efficient.

I've again rewritten much of the base code, and now have some simple =
windows with clickable buttons on them. There are a lot of basic =
changes, and I'm currently adding the concept of an "update region", so =
only the modified portion of a window is redisplayed when a control is =
redrawn, for example. Another demo is probably an evening or so of work =
away - after I work on Win32Lib, of course.

Should I continue using the Classis Mac interface, or do people prefer =
the Win32 look and feel?

Thanks.
