1. Serial comm by API calls

Hi to everyone! Does anyone have serial communication routines that use Windows API calls instead of direct reading/writing to UART? (All samples i found from archives use this method) Direct reading from the hardware is not reliable (expect on very low data rates) as you never know how much time Windows spends before your applicition can poll for next character. I tried to understand how API calls must be done by exploriring Euphoria samples and Windows API documentation but not that easy for me at this time. In fact what i need is only procedure to open COM2 with some reasonable baud rate (like 19200 no parity, one stop bit) and function that will return character string from receive buffer and another that will send string to the output buffer. Does anyone know what sequence of API calls is common way for this and how this can be done with Euphoria? regards, Raivo
