1. how to disable function key

i like to disable the function key, F1,F2, etc how can i code it what i mean is that if the function is pressed, it is just being ignored i am using the prompt_string, so, i would like if say for example the following is entered: ab<F1>cde then i would be happy to just reject that entry thank you in advance
