In my non-knowledge I suggested a wrong download .. remember ?? I was referring to the %APPL... etc. download which I saw. Then when I downloaded & saw it again , I wondered ! BUT .. YOU HAVE FIXED IT WITH YOUR GREAT KNOWLEDGE OF INTERPRETATION . Maybe one day I may get some of your experience & know how ??? Thanks my friend in Euphoria !! I will send a thank you to Chris Burch for his interest. Oh .. by the way ........ your programme saves a "hellava" lot of mucking around in the user define menu "thingy" But add a doc to explain what must be done for the average "dumbo" like me ........... THEN U HAVE a great addition . I knew it was a great piece of programming & that is why I persisted . Thank you Igor, sincerely, cheers, les.r.

I like to chat with people But if without jokes, these FAR, N++ and PSPad are good but rare used with Euphoria, and there are very good editors with built in Euphoria syntax coloring, see The Archive please. IDE, Edita etc etc, and they all are written in Euphoria. Crimson is free, open source (C), has ready Euphoria syntax coloring, very good one. I'll better post these my syntax files to authors of Colorer(FAR), Notepad++ and PSPad for including into distros of these editors. Good Luck! Regards, Igor Kachan kinz at peterlink.ru

Works Ok, almost can handle the bilingual key words. These bilingual key words is rare thing, PSPad doesn't support, N++ doesn't support, Crimson almost supports The Russian programming is very tricky, say, file names must be in cp866 encoding, i.e. pure DOS on Windows and on Linux(!). Windows has its native cp1251 for Russian, and Linux has its native cpKOI8-R for Russian, and both Windows and Linux have DOS cp866 for Russian file names ... "Oh, those Russians ..." Do you remember Boney M's "Rasputin"? Sorry about OT Regards, Igor Kachan kinz at peterlink.ru

Regards, Pete PS Coincidentally, I have just commented that code out, in my continuing (!!five-month on/off now!!) quest to get tab-8 handling working properly in Edita, ie a #09 on disk really should mean to-next-multiple-of-8-chars, no matter what the user preference for a tab is in the editor. Nearly there, he says, hanging his head in shame. I've just seen that "elastic tabs" thing, which gives me (yet) more to think about... PPS Erm therefore I also ask how soon I need to "uncomment" that code...
