Warning: the following is a blatant commercial - we have not seen many of those since the Reverend Packard left us for the falling rouble... (Hello, Michael! But only if you are lucky enough to have a phone connection and are watching this space from one of those tiny Moscow apartments, on an obsolete laptop, provided by the local mafia at a truly ridiculous price...) I just finished, more or less, a major update of my font system and Robert was kind enough to put it on his Recent Contributions page. I am sorry it has taken me so long - a lot of you were not even re-born as Euphorians when I originally promised it! Below is a short extract from the readme file, summarizing the main features and improvements. Also, please, make sure you try my little demo/tutorial hiding in font.ex. It is not quite complete yet, but I hope you will enjoy it anyway - and possibly get hooked... jiri much faster writes, especially with plain color fore/backgrounds foreground texturing option 8x16 ROM char set as default, automatically available as default font attributes: bold, shadow, italic & underline images function - fast generation of rectangular text images vertical text global routines only: *no* global variables any more each font has its own private copy of size dependant parameters 'on-the-fly' change of foreground color and/or attributes multi-line support (imbedded new line characters) text justification: left, right and centre new/changed defaults prompt function (formerly fgets) with additional width parameter, scroll, xor cursor and much better editing facilities
