Yes, I do program web pages for Boeing. I am a webmaster for several intranet sites. I do most of my development in HTML and server-side JavaScript, with sprinklings of PERL and JAVA. Spent last night creating a library of genetic algorithm routines, and they work, but since I was prototyping using sequences as chars, it was rather slow. Over the next few days, I want to use atoms as 32-bit genes. Wheee (I feel like such a nerd saying that :) So you do web work too? Cool. It's easy, and I like the graphic design aspect of it. I mean, only other programs appreciate elegant *code* design. BTW, I liked your analysis of the AI requirements you posted recently. Just one comment: its my personal belief that the A merely refers to the substrate of the intelligence. i.e. it will be real intelligence in an artificial medium. Of course thats neither here nor there... Thanks, -Jay >>> Alan Tu <ATU5713 at COMPUSERVE.COM> 10/09/98 06:28pm >>> Welcome, Jay! Sounds like you're having fun. Keep it going! >-Jay Turley > Sr. Engineer > ATP Web Team > Boeing Do you design web pages for Boeing? Uh, I do know HTML, and am designing web pages for a couple organizations. I have this thing for syntactal (wow, I coined another word!) languages. Alan Tu
