You gotta be kidding. If I can make Windows programs with win32lib,
anyone can.

Win32Lib is truly the "great" Euphoria library. Without it a large
proportion of current Euphoria users wouldn't be "current" Euphoria
users.
Documentation (that comes with Win32Lib - I haven't checked any
external doco) is poor especially in the "getting started" area.
I found (a number of years ago) the easiest way to start was looking
at the example programs to see how they worked. Then write half a
dozen very small programs yourself that do trivial tasks (based on
things that the example programs do). After that you can start
making whatever you want - then ask questions when you get stuck!
Having looked at many other GUI libraries (and used some to varying
degress) I see that Win32Lib isn't that far behind other freely
available toolkits (in usage).
It still lacks documentation and some stability. But in general it
is about on average where actual usage is concerned.

That's basically the point, it's not easy!
There is a "light switch" mental block behind GUI (and OOP) programming
for me anyway).
You keep banging your head against the wall then one day the light
switch just turns on and you can see how easy it can be!

I think everyone agrees the VB IDE and GUI designer are about the
best available. You'll find that VB itself starts to fall down in
other areas though. Nothing is perfect ... you make your choice on
"what's best for me".

I've had a number of sad days in my life when the reality of what
Euphoria IS and what Euphoria ISN'T (or never will be) becomes clear
to me.
I've posted emails in the past with similiar content to yours and to
summarise "my" view of Euphoria ...
* "Euphoria is what it is", if you like it and it can do what you
want then great.
* If it can't do what you want NOW, it most likely won't do what you
want anytime soon.
If you enjoy pushing the boundaries of Euphoria as a hobby great ...
keep on pushing the boundries.
If you want to create applications (that are difficult to create
with Euphoria the way it is now) then look elsewhere.

Neither was the Amiga.
Those were their kick ass PCs.

I know that. When people asked if i had a PC, i said yes, it was a C64. I got
grilled for that, people called me names, like "idiot", "psychotic", etc. I
dunno
what humans want, but i know they wanted me to stop referring to my
definitely personal C64 as a personal computer. So i did. Now i haveto go
back to calling it a PC? At what point do i win this?

That's because they were probably stupid IBM-Intel-M$ zombies... But that's
not the case around here. We're smart. We all know "PC" means "personal
computer," not "Wintel box" or "IBM box" or any other specific namebrand...
