Is EUPHORIA going to be 64-bit happiness? Also, what about parallel processing and threading?

I was thinking along the same lines, Ray. Co-routines would be perfect for implementing generic iterators. Threads would be perfect for SO MANY types of applications - Web and Chat clients, servers of all types, ... We aren't building these type of apps now in Eu with the advantages of threads because we can't. It reminds me of the old joke... A man was seen spraying vinegar around his garden. His neighbour asked him why he was doing that. He replied that is keeps away the elephants. To which his neighbour said "But there are no elephants in this city!". The man just said "See. It works!" IN much the same manner, people are not building Eu apps that depend on threads, so therefore threads aren't needed in Euphoria. -- cheers, Derek Parnell

No. > How many people is "enough"??? I don't know. Adding threads to the interpreter would be a major job. It's not just a matter of adding a few built-in or library routines. Check my previous posts on this subject for the details. Regards, Rob Craig Rapid Deployment Software http://www.RapidEuphoria.com
