Did you post this as a ruler by which to measure progress, as competition,
as something not to emulate? Their homepage links don't work in my IE...

Just a resource, an example, something others are working on, background. 
Someone was working on such a thing using Eu.

They all worked for me, but i use the normal proxy on my puter, to "fix" IE. 
Not that anyone would agree there are problems with IE.....

Yeah, I read that part, but it doesn't make sense. What "standard" are they
following that doesn't let links work?

  The CSS, that's what. The links should be on the right side. They also 
should not move when you scroll down.
