Try RAR. IMO it's very good. The latest version, IIRC, is v2.01.
You can get it from any decent shareware archive. Failing that, my DOS
webpage has it... ;)

You might want to try *.cab technology.  It will prob. make it smaller =
than *.zip or *.rar.  Not to mention it's free from Microsoft while the =
others are try before you buy.
