1. **** WARNING ****

The most recent update from AVG (this morning) virus software may delete
all your bound EU software. It happened on 2 of my customers and deleted
all 242 EU programs from every single computer.

Uh, April 1 isn't for another few months.

But seriously... ARE YOU SERIOUS?!!?!? That sucks. :(

Hopefully there's a way to grab those back outta quarantine.

They all had backups from last night. We restored from the memory stick they
use (qbackup). Worked great. I"ve been on the phone all afternoon helping
them copy the programs back. Took a while do discover what had happened.

I also use AVG with latest updates.
I did a scan of my bound and compiled Euphoria programs with no problems found.
This is with the free version and without the Resident Shield.

I had a similar problem with my AVG free edition. It detected and cleaned
wec.exe from the Euphoria archive, informing:
wec.zip was "Downloader.Generic6.XZK" virus found.

It occurred during the scheduled scanning. The resident shield is activated.
Heuristic Analysis is active. But, no problem detected in "vc.exe" and "Fractal
Generator for Windows.exe".

On mine it caught seqviewer.exe which is from 2002,
forthec.exe
pe.zip popup eliminator from 2003
and exw.exe version 2.3
it ignored version 2.4

 same trojan signature

at work this weekend, coincidently , Mcafee deleted Auto-IT compiled
executables,
crippling a softgrid delployment system.
