1. [OT] 3D Mark 03
Has anyone tried benchmarking their system with this? What scores have you
gotten, on what hardware?
I have an Athlon 2000 with a Geforce 4 Ti 4200, and I only scored a measly
637. I suspect that something is wrong with my configuration....

That could be some background process, old drivers, AGP working in 2x or 1x
mode,
low RAM...

Thank you Martin...
The problem was I found, that 3DMark03 is for DirectX 9 cards, which a
geforce4 is not. So, I'm guessing the directX9 functions were being
performed in software, rather than on the card.
I downloaded 3DMark2001 SE, which is for DirectX 8.1 cards. I got a much
healthier framerate, and a much healthier score - 4431.
However, I think I might splash out for more ram. 512mb is down to AU$120...
sweet.
