1. Free icons for apps

I need icons for my app, where can I find them?
I need it to be free for commercial use, and preferably modern-looking
and colorful (such as in XP).
I have tried XPM Icon Library in the archive but the design is rather
bad.
The icons I need is for the toolbar, such as open, close, cut, copy,
add, paste, insert, delete, help etc.

Thanks!

2. Re: Free icons for apps

There are some nice XPM icons that come with the generic.exw demo in
win32lib. I think that David Cuny created them.

They are from the Gnome project. I guess they are under GPL or LGPL license.

aku :
Why do you need to use xpm icons for your apps ?
Many apps use bmps for toolbars and ico files for icons.

Download my win32eru utility from archive.
   http://www.rapideuphoria.com/win32eru.zip

You can find many free bmps and icons out on the Web that can be
converted to euphoria include files using my utility and borlands
free bcc32 resource compiler.

Run the demo that comes with win32eru it shows you how to use a toolbar.
