Hello, I am currently programming a 4 way scrolling action game and have come across a problem, I want quite a number of 1,600 X 350 bmps but they take up about 500k each I have tried using gifs with Michael Bolin's pic_load.e but it just froze my computer. Does any one know how to compress an image that size and still be able to load it reasonably fast? --PatRat (Thomas Parslow) -- ()___() -- (o o) -- =\O/= -- RAT OF THE MONTH -- Competition

If there are any .gifs that my routine doesn't work for, I would like to be able to fix it. Regards, Michael Bolin
