1. Mark Honnor's Game Demo
I downloaded the demo and found it nothing short of astounding. The
scrolling is very smooth, the graphics very appealing, and the sound is
excellent.
Only one problem. Calling the highest damage setting "holocaust" is a
little uncomfortable for me. I'm not Jewish, but it still seems a bit
unfortunate. Am I being to PC?

My thoughts exactly! It looks great. It's not a game yet, however, and that
gave me the idea to wait until you added a little more before I started to
comment anything. Anyway, this promises to be great!

You should call it "RAGNAROK" instead :) Good viking name of judgement day.
At least it hasn't the same bad feelings involved. Well, just an idea.

I am VERY sorry for offending any people who were offended by my use of
"holocaust". I did not know that it was refering to bad things happening
in the past. I used it as the nuclear holocaust predicted for July 17
1999. but i will try to be more careful in the future when making making
war games.
i did not mean it as a joke and i am not a nazi. I am just a 16 year old
and live in the peaceful country of new zealand.
hope you can forgive me and we wont start any big fights like the last.
For who ever did not know how to get the demo. It is called killdemo.zip
and is on the user contributions page at RDS.
the actual game will have two violence settings : violent, non-violent
though you probably cant use the non-violent mode, 'cause all you'd have
left is a scrolling parallax map :)
the game will be more concerned with skill settings than the violence
level, and i hope to make a great strategy war game out of it!!
anyway.. happy coding to all and ill see you laterz!
and no you cant have my code... but i might release a simple parallax
source code oneday.

Yes you are being nothing short of too PC, the Nazi's also
corrupted the swastica and yet it isn't of itself a racial slander, and
take the "holocaust" in the same way. He could have ment nuclear
holocaust or bio-holocaust. It doesn't offend me, and more Poles died
than Jews. Also, the demo is amazing! Got a Question for all of us....
will the thing we do in euphoria work on older systems? I want to make a
Tandy run totally EUphoria proggies <cept for the ms-dos>....
