>>My 2 cents on what I think make Euphoria difficult to "sell": >> >>[The Name "Euphoria"] Euphoria is a good name because it sticks in ones mind and cannot be confused with other language names. A very important issue for an "upstart" language. But the issue that it is not a "business-like" name is also important. So what is the answer? How about keeping the name Euphoria and also using a "business" alias..."RDL" Rapid Development Language at the same time? The conflict could be resolved by making the official name "RDL Euphoria" (implying there may be other RDL's in the future). Business's could optionally drop the "Euphoria" part of the name but it would always be present in the documentation and any software blurbs. This name would be "strangely familiar" to management in the business world since there have already been many 3-letter languages (APL, JCL, PL1, GRW, RPG, etc...).
