It turns out that the fix that I uploaded on January 26, was not done
correctly. Some people were still seeing exw crash immediately
when they tried to run it. I think I've now done a proper fix.
(It's hard for me to be 100% sure, because I've never had this
problem on any of my machines.) If you find exw is crashing, please
try the new PD exw for 2.1 that I just uploaded:

Let me know if it works or not for you.
It's a new optimized build of the PD exw.exe that should work around
this apparent operating system bug that only happens on some
installations of Win98. The fix will be included in 2.1 beta in a
couple of weeks.
