1. EuForum listing suggestion

Just a thought...

As the list has grown longer I found myself thinking today
that it would be nice to have the messages listed from
the most recent at the top to the oldest at the bottom.

I suppose there are pros and cons but that certainly
makes it a bit easier to make a quick check for any
recent postings.

Once we get all the essential stuff done,
we might consider having a CGI program generate
the main EUforum page each time. That way, with a cookie,
we could let you specify various display options,
and we could even show the dates/times adjusted to
your local time zone. Those without a cookie,
would get the default display.

The way that http://board.flatassembler.net/ works has impressed me;
basically, posts are grouped by thread, and threads are listed by most
recent post first. By the fourth or fifth visit, provided it hasn't
been too long since the last visit, you just intuitively know what to
look for (which was not my first impression, btw).

Rob/Junko, can you have a peek at that and let us know what you think?

Not having seen the new EUforum for a few days, it does appear to be
coming along nicely, keep up the good work! (I'm still an email client
at heart!)

Thanks,
Pete
PS Is there a link to http://www.listfilter.com/EUforum/ on
http://rapideuphoria.com/ yet? If not, why not? (I couldn't find one
anyway).

PPS I'm not a fan of multiple "areas", I think a single "Main" is
better.

Just like Euman's (now defunct) forum - still can't help grinning smile - list is
much better than Topica (still not my main desire for forum like, but can't have
everything - western world democracy and all) - have now stopped email from
topica, as list is soooooo much faster.

What happened to eu code colour coding?

The (only?) link is on the main page,
http://www.rapideuphoria.com/index.html. Look for "most recent messages".
