posted by: rolf.schroeder at desy.de Hi, the "Post" doesn't work under NS 4.8 with style sheets enabled. If I disable style sheets it seems to work right. Is it impudent to hope that "Post" will also work with style sheets enabled under NS 4.*? Thanks, Rolf

We'll look into it, but I'm posting this using Netscape 7.1 and it seems to work fine. I think style sheets are enabled. Maybe it's time for an upgrade - I particularly like the e-mail spam filter in Netscape 7.1. -- Rob

And it runs GIF89a's with the speed it should. That's why I like it. Do yo need really the 'advanced' features of CSS? Thanks, Rolf

If you really want speed (even on older machines), and still have all the features of a modern browser (full PNG-support, CSS, JavaScript, DOM), you should definitely try Opera. I use it on my laptop (Pentium II, 466MHz, 64MB RAM), and it even runs smoothly on my old Cyrix 200MHz with 32MB RAM. It starts faster than any Netscape, it's more responsive, it has a builtin e-mail client (with a nice filter-mechanism) and has a lot of very advanced and useful features (mouse gestures, small-screen rendering, zooming, extremely customizable user-interface, skinning ...) I use it as my main browser, and for the testing of my website. I also use Internet Explorer and Firebird (mozilla) for testing my website, but only after it looks like i want it to look in Opera.
