Hi all, I am developing a video format for Euphoria for use in games, demos, Screensavers or just to play around with. At this time I have writen a player, a crude .FLI to .EVF ( Euphoria Video Format ) converter and one test video ( with sound ! ). I intend to release a short demo to anyone who is interested within a few weeks. Later I hope to release tools to help create your own videos / animations. Resolution is 320x200x256 but I think 640x480x256 could work too. The format is very open-ended ( We can add new features to it as we need them ) Problems so far :- 1. Disk access is a bit slow - I hope that Euphoria V1.5 will be a bit faster there or I could use JDs DosWrap:BlockRead() code or I could load complete anims into RAM first. 2. Compression is OK but not as good as .FLI anims yet ! - The image data has to be presented to Euphoria in a way that is easy for it to handle quickly enough so I am limited in the compression methods I can use. 3. Limited sound - Again I might have to wait for a while or find a way to cheat ! In the mean time is anybody doing 3D modeling / ray-tracing with Euphoria, if so, we might need to have a little talkI don't know how useful this project is to you all out there, if it is useful you know where I am. Regards - Peter
