Everyone, stop what you're doing right now and listen to this. I have being coding all night at a Euphoria app after reading a mail about creating euAllegro for DOS. This app is ready, except for one part, the last lines of code, wich I can't write. I can't write these last few lines, this last routine, because any minute now my new girlfriend will be knocking at my door. She will sleep over for two days, and she does not allow me to turn my computer on, let alone code. She gets pissed if she thinks I give my computer more attention than her, and I can't blaim her, would it be nice for me to code while my girlfirend sits and does nothing after not having seen me in half a month? I can't code this last routine myself because I tried it and ran into errors wich would take me too much time to fix. People, if you help me, if you write me this routine, I will paste it into my code, bind an executable, and ship it to you right away. What app is this? I won't tell you what it is yet, it's gotta be a surprise, but I garantee you that you will be using Allegro, Crystal Space, Genesis3D, etc. in Euphoria on any platform IMMEDIATLY after downloading this app. The code I need is simple. I need code that accepts a sequence of files like this; {"test.txt","crap.ex", ...} It should also accept a sequence of keywords like this; {"key1","crapkey2","shitkeyword3", ...} and that finally will replace every keyword it finds in every file with Xs, ie. with "XXX", or whatever you want, it doesn't matter what it replaces it with, alsong as it replaces it. Confused? The code could look like this; procedure replace(sequence files, sequence words) -- replace words in every file with the wordsz found in -- 'words', and save result. end procedure Get it? I just need code that can replace, like VB's replace() function does, all occurences of these keywords with something else, doesn't matter what. If you understand what I mean, PLEASE help me out right away, so I can ship this app before my girlfriend gets here!! Mike The Spike __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
