I agree. I sometimes wonder if its worth the time I spend reading instead
of programming and thanks to this 5% of people I still read almost all of
the messages. I left the list for 4 or 5 months due to a job change and I
must admit I really missed it among some other Internet activities and the
result was that I quit and came back to my old job.

I personally like Euphoria for what it is not what it could be. I think I
wouldn't use Eu if it grows up in a way that it take 10 seconds to start a
program. If the
implementation of name spaces maintain todays speed good if not personally
I can live without it. In 1997 I was an MCP and I passed 3 (WOSA I, WOSA
II, ACCESS) of 4 exams to become a Certified Developer I got tired of
trying to use a Tank to kill a roach and started looking for a tool small,
simple,
and that offers more freedom. I found that euphoria was what I was looking
for. I really like it, I dont think I can recommend it for commercial
database applications (yet) but if you enjoy programming it's a great tool
and Rob has shown he can keep it alive. I learn a lot from some other
people's work and its one of the best things of the list, there are new
things all the time. So to the 5% keep up the good work and don't be
discouraged by the misleaded criticism.
