No, I am not stupid. I read all of the stuff that told me how to use this but it just gives me a message, "Can't open [filename].ex" Why will they not open (the demo programs or anything that ends in .ex) Anything you suggest is most likely something I have tried. I do not understand how this works for anyone! I hope someone can help. Sincerely, Nathan

Try this: open a DOS-prompt window type: cd \euphoria\bin ex key Does it run the key.ex program? If not, then tell us the *exact* error message that appears on your screen. SET EUDIR=C:\EUPHORIA SET PATH=%PATH%;C:\EUPHORIA\BIN Else, open Windows Explorer and click 'View', then 'Options...' When the Options Window appears - click on 'File Types' Look in the 'Registered file types:' box and see if 'ex File' and 'exw File' are listed. Final suggestion, blame Microsoft for their crappy programming skills... "If Bill Gates was a Doctor, would you go to him?" uh? $$ $ $ $ $ $

Yes, the key.ex program works, but that is because there is already an executable file that works the same way without using a DOS Prompt window. >From: Robert Craig <rds at RapidEuphoria.com> >Reply-To: EUforum at topica.com >To: EUforum <EUforum at topica.com> >Subject: Re: Euphoria won't work! >Date: Sat, 19 Jan 2002 00:10:08 -0500 > > >Nathan writes: > > Why will they not open (the demo programs or anything that ends in .ex) > > Anything you suggest is most likely something I have tried. > >Try this: > open a DOS-prompt window > type: > cd \euphoria\bin > ex key >Does it run the key.ex program? >If not, then tell us the *exact* error message >that appears on your screen. > >Regards, > Rob Craig > Rapid Deployment Software > http://www.RapidEuphoria.com > > > >

Nope, neither the ex or exw ones are in the regestered file types. So, what is wrong? >From: timelord at zebra.net >Reply-To: EUforum at topica.com >To: EUforum <EUforum at topica.com> >Subject: Re: Euphoria won't work! >Date: Sat, 19 Jan 2002 11:13:10 -0600 > > > >No, I am not stupid.
