How about adding a link to an html form that generates a RapidEuphoria invitation to check out Euphoria, which can be sent to friends. How about a link to a list of the top ten contributions in the archives. Or even top 20. And how about a link to the RDS news page. So? In the subject line would be something like the following: "SENDER invites you to try Euphoria programming language" If I trust the person who has sent me the invitation, then there is no problem. Otherwise I delete it from my inbox without opening. No harm done. Just like ecards. For people who have spam filters (blech), oh well. Can't cater to everyone all the time. Rob, How about having a section of the website devoted to programming UTILITIES. So have EE editor, and Judiths IDE, etc. You could also have things like that dll-examiner, as well as anything that comes up. Not necissarily a euphoria program, just something useful to the euphoria programmer. Maybe even put euphoria libraries in there. ===================================================== .______<-------------------\__ / _____<--------------------__|=== ||_ <-------------------/ \__|Mr Trick

Rob, I personally think the EUPHORIA web site should be served by a EUPHORIA server using a EUPHORIA database back-end. But does anybody listen to me?!? > How about having a section of the website devoted to programming > UTILITIES. > So have EE editor, and Judiths IDE, etc. > You could also have things like that dll-examiner, as well as > anything that comes up. Regardless, I think Rob needs to do something like that to showcase the programming language of the 22nd Century.* *That's EUPHORIA for you newbies.

But as always "I think" there would be higher priority tasks for RDS to work on. Is your idea to make a full blown web server? Or just use a current web server (Apache?) using Euphoria for the CGI lanaguage? Anyone with enough interest could do a project like this so "my vote" would be for RDS to NOT persue this path. Anyone who wanted to could setup "their own" web application using Euphoria. If all works well, and they could get a competitive web hosting deal they could approach RDS to host the official site their. Wasn't there some talk in the not to distant past about a web host with Euphoria scripting support? I think this should be the first step. If enough interest is generated, it works well and is stable that would be the time to pressure RDS into hosting the web site using Euphoria. ... just thinking out loud Ray Smith http;//www.geocities.com/ray_223
