1. RE: Unsilencing Mute?

Doesn't exactly look trivial. There's some sample code at
http://support.microsoft.com/directory/article.asp?ID=KB;EN-US;Q139098

I also downloaded a VB example from MSDN that was supposed to show me
input and output levels but it didn't work...

Maybe somebody's already got some Eu code available?

But this is why i pulled the sound card and disconnected the internal

Check out http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en-us/multimed/mixer_10xf.asp
There is quite a bit of information on using the mixer controls for volume,
mute
etc. No sample code that I could find in just a few minutes though, so be
prepared to spend some time absorbing the information and API calls

The puters are in the same room i sleep in, and i hate being waken every
time i get to sleep by beeping, wavs playing, the modem deciding to growl
again, etc..
