This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_001E_01C234B7.9A5CFCC0 charset="iso-8859-1" I have written a simple eu script that polls a serial device every = second, time stamps the data received from this device and appends these = data to an output file. My serial interfacing is based upon a hack of = E-TERM.EX and time stamping is performed using date(). I'm currently = testing my program within the DOS emulator of Win 2000 - with the = intention of running the final version within DOS/DESQVIEW. My problem: My program is intended to run 24 hours a day 365/6 days a = year - I have noticed that if I change 'the clock' settings using win = 2000 or DOS while my program is running only date changes and not = hour/minute changes are picked up by date(). Can anyone help here - I = wish to supply accurate time to my system (via LAN,GPS,INTERNET) and = then be sure that my program picks it up.
