Thanks to monty for pointing me at the wotsit.org site! I've just got my
wave file reader working. Yay! :) the only problem now is how to change
a 16 bit nubmer into a signed number. Any ideas? Reading 8 bit files is
easy, but 16 bit files are a bit more tricky.
Also does anyone know of any information on sound filtering?
i've got this synth program that says it uses a 2nd order Butterworth
filter for it's low and high pass filters, but i couldn't find anything
useful on the net.
And finaly does anyone have any urgent requests for things to include in
my music program? It won't make very portable song files, i estimated
800K - 1200K average file size. And it'll be built to generate huge wave
files for cd's at 16 bit, 44100 hz, stereo, the final product waves will
be rather enormous.
I made this little windows bass sound generator this morning in VB, if
anyone wants something like that?? It's not very flash, and probably has
bugs, but i don't have access to vb anymore so how it is is how it
stays! It makes raw sound files. you just tell it the amp%, time, sample
rate, start frequency and end frequency and it goes to work.
Some one was asking about 3d engines.. i could probably put together a
small 3d polygon drawer with gouraud shading even and that wouldn't take
too long to do. but i don't have the time right now, getting ready to
leave the country next weekend, after that i'll have lots more time to
give it a go.
