what's the hoopla about GFX? The demo is just a bunch of balls bouncing in a scrolling screen? I get 34fps for 25 tiny balls on my dx2-66. In StarRanger I have 40+ sprites with scrolling background and extensive background processing AND parallax stars at easily 25-30 fps on the same machine. (thanx Jiri - your code still kicks butt) Sorry if it sounds caustic, but after all the stuff yakked about on here I expected more. Anyone done anything even remotely interesting with it yet? On another note, why is DevilMan walking around holding his crotch? I was thinking that it was pretty cool having the screen scroll and the balls all bouncing everywhere, but what would happen, say, if all the balls actually knocked off each other so that the path wasn't so static anymore... Would you lose speed? Probably so. But what do I know? > On another note, why is DevilMan walking around holding his crotch? I'm crackin' up on this comment. I didn't notice any crotch-grabbin', but I'll be sure and look closer next time. The Devil must be Michael J. himself! Later! ck
