A beta release of EuGTK for Windows is now available at http://ellijay.com/users/irvm/ on the downloads page. Graphics and cursors now work, so now all the stock GTK controls are operational in Windows. Sound doesn't work yet,- probably someone here is better qualified to implement that than I am. And likely some other things won't work either, but those are hard to find without people writing programs and trying to use them. So please give this a try and let me know. Also keep in mind that GTK is different in design and operation from Windows, so there may be some 'getting used to' involved. Feel free to ask questions, I'll try to answer them. Regards, Irv

Heya Irv, Yay! It's here! Except everytime I attempt to download, I get a 'one byte off' error, and then it (Winzip 8, I thinks?) quits out. However, I go to my linux shell on my server, and unzip it from there (after retrieving and installing unzip, because apparantly my server didn't have it, oops), and I got the following error: inflating: gtk2/images/redalert.wav bad CRC 33067c89 (should be 13b70d79) file #177: bad zipfile offset (local header sig): 238981 (attempting to re-compensate) Not sure what happened, but you may want to check out the zipfile? (I turned it into a tarball and stuck it at my website here, with a broken redalert.wav, at http://osrf.washingtoncs.com/~lordlev/miscsite/EuGTK_Win.tar.gz) On an attempt to run with a modified GTK installation, it puked all over me about it, and didn't like something I did. So, I'm going to use your stock configuration and the GTK installer from dropline and see what happens. Toodles!
