Which editor? if you mean ed.ex, read ed.doc, it will tell you how to
copy/paste.
Most editors either come with documentation, or a help system. (BTW, to
get
help in ed.ex, type: Esc h e to get ed.doc)

Thanks for the Ad. :)

Potential new users should know that it's not a happy editor under NT-based
operating systems [NT, 2000, XP].

The two main things that don't work are transferring the Windows Clipboard
and Long Filename support. If you can live without those or you're using 95,
98 or ME the editor works OK.

The clipboard not working in NT can be worked around by activating QuickEdit
and Insert Mode on the DOS-box EE:CS runs in. The mouse can then be used to
copy+paste to/from the window - Left click + drag to select text from EE:CS,
right click or enter to copy to clipboard. Right click alone pastes the
Windows clipboard. Note that the editor takes no part in copying and pasting
in this way - all the work is being done by the DOS box.

The lack of long filenames under NT is a bit more annoying. :(

In my local copy of ex.exe, DOS long filename support
has been extended to include XP and 2000.
It will be in the next release.

Thx Rob, Pete, Bernie and all .

I am a lazy man or perhaps spoiled by MS visual basic functionality
cut and paste, click, drag and drop functions. The cut and paste
functions is a time saving when borrowing other people souce code
experiment something. To key in every single comand is time consuming
and non productive , , , very discourageing in my opinion.

Probably, I am the generation know nothing other than concenient but I
beleive 70% of the amatuer like me feel the same.

My opinion only.

p/s : Pete... I like your ver.

6. Re: Paste feature in Euphoria Editor

ed.ex has had cut and paste functinoality for as long as I've been using
it (v.1.4). To cut a block of code, ^D each line in the block, one
after the other. Move your cursor to where you want to paste and press
<Insert>. You can paste the same block in as many different places and
open files as you like.
