1. hi i need a library of info, a bit of help, and a miricle

well i need a library of info and i would like someone to help me with =
my game. so far i copied the enemy file in the demo/langwar/enemy well i =
wonder do i just have to copy it all + modify it to match it? how do i =
get to make my own guy  like in duke nukem3d or doom can someone please =

Aaron,

Please tell us as clearly & exactly as possible what you are trying to *do*,
so we might better be able to help you.

1.  If you're trying to write a game, what *kind* of game?  Try to describe
what you want it to do.

2.  what do you mean by "match it"?  (you wrote:  "so far i copied the enemy
file in the demo/langwar/enemy well i wonder do i just have to copy it all +
modify it to match it? ")

3.  you wrote: "how do i get to make my own guy  like in duke nukem3d";  but
langwar is a "starTrek" type moving space ship type of game, not a 1st
person shoot'm'up game.  You don't make "guys" in langwar, though you might
make ships.

4.  please also note that langwar is a 2-d game, not a 3-d one.

5.  If you're looking at langwar as an example of how to write a game, or
looking to modify it towards a 3-d 1st person shoot'm'up, you might want to
start easier, by just modifying it to play differently, like making the
numeric keypad cause reasonable direction changes & relate to weapons fire
direction etc.

ok well how would i input a 3d figure for the charector and how would i set
the keys for movement? and also how could i make enemies controlled by
computers?

im not trying to make this game like 400 megs more like the animation in
duke nukem only better (still not completly 3d just 4 sides!) so would i
just draw the bitmaps and somehow make them visible. also how will i set the
point of veiw i would like it to be like through the eyes of the guy well
also i am 13 so the most cash i have is $10 a week! well i will just spend
the winter on it

oh and also i am awsome at drawing just yesterday i bought 3 sets of
charchol pencils, a book to sketch in, and some eraseable pens (erase able)
well i also can make some pretty good bitmaps with the program i use ms
photo suit (sweet) i belive it is called well i just zoom in all the way and
draw with a half pixel (how do they do it?)
