------=_NextPart_000_000B_01C09543.D827AC40 charset="iso-8859-1" It's not a bug...I just fixed my jump logic. But, just to prove I'm not a liar like MTS(who left for topica. YES!!!), I'm showing you my latest code. Right now, it supports a limited instruction set(I'll be working on that) and comes with a tiny demo boot sector. In this release: Loads a ROM image from a crappy old computer(a Compaq Deskpro 4/33i, but it doesn't do anything with it yet) Loads a disk image and places the boot sector in memory Limited BIOS disk access support(it would help if I got more info about BIOS's completely overly complex coordinate system) Some video BIOS support Includes a screenshot :) Note that All BIOS is emulated No hardware is emulated yet(it'd help if someone directed me to a site about VGA adapters and how to use them, or at least EGA). That's why I emulate BIOS. It's completely portable! But for full functionality, use it in DOS. Enjoy! ------=_NextPart_000_000B_01C09543.D827AC40 name="xvm.zip"

It definately has potential for a real VM if you keep at it. I want to look at it a little more in-depth so perhaps later i will be able to give more useful feedback (like bugs, etc). -- evil, corruption and bad taste cEnsE

I already found a couple of bugs: * ROM is loaded even when you restart the VM(which is painfully slow on my P133 on rh6.1) * A little error in debugging The update is available at http://home.dal.net/files/eu/xvm.zip
