Howdy y'all: Does anyone out there speak fluent Esperanto? Reason being, I've written a small program to convert between "normal" text Esperanto using its "conventions" and text using Latin-3 fonts, which is needed to show Esperanto correctly. I've gotten the English version of the usage information written, but I don't speak Esperanto fluently enough to translate it to Esperanto. If anyone out there can help, please reply privately. I'd appreciate it. Travis: I don't personally know any native Esperanto speakers.

Travis, Use the search engines, man! I opened www.northernlight.com, www.alltheweb.com, typed 'Esperanto', and among the very first items that appeared were: http://www.esperanto.net/, a multilanguage information center, tons of links, includes online courses. http://www.esperanto-usa.org/ http://www.uea.org/, the universala esperanto-asocio. http://www.esperanto.org/ and so on ... As for native speakers, the only one who comes to mind is Forrest J. Ackerman (aka Fojak), whom you can find at http://www.best.com/~4forry/ -check the links on the left frame for "Esperanto, the Tongue of Cunning Linguists" (serious, I'm not making this up!). Or mail him at mailto:scifibiz at aol.com. Good luck. Gerardo, As I believe Travis tried to point out in an earlier post (tongue in cheek?), there *are* no "native speakers" of Esperanto, because it is an *artificial* language, *not* intended (by its creator) to *replace* any existing language (& thereby have the opportunity to *become* some child's "native" language), but rather be an *easily* learned *second* (non-native) language which could facilitate & promote communication between peoples whose *native* languages differ.
