1. [OT] dead mouse

My mouse is dead.
It works perfectly on Windows.
It works on Linux on boot, but after a few minutes it stops moving
and stays stopped. Boot again, same thing happens each time.

What could cause this strange behavior?

It is a Labtec PS/2 with a wheel.

Remove and replace the mouse and see what happens.

3. Re: [OT] dead mouse

Hi

Some systems enable gpm, the console mouse system, you may need to explicitly
disable this - don't know how this is done on your system. This can sometimes
interfere with xwindows mouse utilisation.

Other (although unlikely) possibility is that you are using the wrong mouse
type when you set up your xwindowing system - try changing it if the above
doesn't work.
