1. [OT] dead mouse

My mouse is dead. It works perfectly on Windows. It works on Linux on boot, but after a few minutes it stops moving and stays stopped. Boot again, same thing happens each time. What could cause this strange behavior? It is a Labtec PS/2 with a wheel.

Don Cole A Bug is an un-documented feature. A Feature is a documented Bug.

Hi Some systems enable gpm, the console mouse system, you may need to explicitly disable this - don't know how this is done on your system. This can sometimes interfere with xwindows mouse utilisation. Other (although unlikely) possibility is that you are using the wrong mouse type when you set up your xwindowing system - try changing it if the above doesn't work. Chris
