I've had a bad case of influenza the last week or so, and I haven't been able to go to work or look at the forum, so I'll post several things here about the last week or two. I've seen a lot of people wanting a wrapper for this and that video library. Could you be specific on what feature you are wanting to use from that lib(ie, capturing video from a recorder, playing it in an app, editing it somehow)? The thing about Rob putting multi-tasking in the interpreter makes me think that maybe he decided to put in every feature we ask for and then when we don't like the result he say "Told you so", and move on to something else, leaving behind some angry programmers. Hmm, maybe I haven't recovered yet.:) C.Bouzy said that Rob only makes a small amount of money from Binder and Translator sales. How does he put food on the table then? Would anyone want a library that let's you write Eu scripts to download files from remote FTP or one that lets you integrate Internet Explorer into an app? Later, Jeremy Peterson Edmund Burke: "All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing."

Hi there Jeremy, I've got it too AGAIN...2nd time this year :( Anyway, a number of people have asked for a moving picture lib (small) to allow easy picture displays of moving pics similar to animated gif. It has to have compression however, because a lot of small gifs still add up to one heck of a large file download which people dont want and they dont want to have to tell their users to download a huge file either, and they dont want to have to pack a huge file with their product if it's part of their program. There's an animated gif thing in the archive but it doesnt seem to work with compression, which is really vital to having something like this be a practical addition to a program. Take care, Al And, good luck with your Euphoria programming! My bumper sticker: "I brake for LED's"

Al, can't they just use an animation control from one of the GUI libraries? Jeremy Edmund Burke: "All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing."

Hey Al. I usually use LBworkshop(from alycesresturant.com) to create .ani files. It works very well. There are probably others as well. Jeremy Edmund Burke: "All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing."

I could use the FTP stuff, if it had no external DLL or code. I'm having a hard time getting my current code to retrieve afresh any HTTP page requests. It's grabbing from cache and that can really throw dependability off. -=ck "Programming in a state of Euphoria." http://www.cklester.com/euphoria/
