isn't working. As a long time user of Eu who doesn't remember a password,
or ever getting a password, i entered no password, and the next page said
my email address is not in it's database. Yet i get email from the Eu list i am
sending this to. I was going to send in a simple "beginner level" quick and
dirty app i just did, since there seems to be a few more newbies on before.

There's a database maintained by RDS that contains people
who can upload files to RDS and/or use the EUforum Web interface.
Topica has its own database of people who use Topica to send/receive
EUforum messages via e-mail. These are two separate databases.

That would be great.
Once you've registered, there's a Web form you can fill out,
and a way to upload a .zip file.
To register, you just have to type your name and e-mail
address in the pink box and click "Register Me!".
You'll be sent a 6-character password. For most people,
a cookie remembers the password for them. If you don't like
cookies, you'll have to remember it somehow. If you forget,
the system will send you a new password.
This semi-automated system saves me a lot of time,
gives you more control over your file's description,
and let's you update your programs more easily.
It also reduces the delay in updating the contributions page.

Right, the automated crazy noise for a password system is one of the reasons I
haven't bothered to contribute as of late.
I still create a few useful things here and there.. but they just ain't worth
the hassle. I simply maintain my
