1. History of Euphoria?

Since we've been discussing tutorials and newbies lately, I have to
poke my head in here. I recall seeing a breif history of Euphoria at
one point, but I can't seem to find it now. It recalled Rob creating
Euphoria as college project (master thesis?) in order to prove that an
interpreted language could be simple and fast. If anyone can point me
to this webpage/document, it'd be much appreciated.

I'm also much interested in this topic. This is the most comprehensive
source that I'm aware of (line may wrap):

Robert was inspired by John Backus' FP system.
Here is the original paper that describes FP. (2.9MB)

And here is an implementation of FP.
