1. New Web Sites + CSS Help Needed

I've redesigned my "Euphoria Programming" website! Please have a look
and help me build my to-do list (which includes "Code Ratings," "Code
Archive (of code not by me)," and a book on programming Euphoria called
"Jubilation," which can be viewed at http://www.cklester.com/books/).

http://www.cklester.com/euphoria/

See also the "More Info" page.

I have a question:

On the main page, I've got two columns: "Programs" and "Projects." When
you resize your browser windows width, these two columns get
closer/farther apart. Somebody who knows CSS, what would I do to each
column to have them percentage width but keep the separating gutter
width static? Anybody?

I had designed the site after looking at the websites for ruby and
python and was going to offer it to RDS as a revamped home page (I
think the design of the current RDS site, while functional, lacks a
seriousness or maturity that could hamper efforts to expand the
market penetration of Euphoria; this is just a viewer's viewpoint;
I don't have numbers to back it up. :) ). They don't want to
make changes, so I'll be removing some of the "copyrighted" text
from the site over the course of the next few days...

Give me please your private address and
I'll post the screenshot of your site on
NS4 browser, win95.

But RDS site looks excellently on this system.
Almost same as on Mozilla 1.0 on Linux RH9.
Be very careful, CK, with your novations,
your old site was OK.

Howdy, Igor,

I think NS4 is one of those "notorious" web browsers that does not
conform to published web standards. Upgrade, my friend! I recommend
Firefox (http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/).

My old site was ugly! (And only temporary...) :)

I do not think that all owners of the legal copies
of win95 (millions and millions of different users)
threw away their CDs to buy some new legal copy
of win98.

I just do not want to pay Bill of MS new money
for almost same OS. I just do not need extra
bells and whistles at home.

I think, I am not a single miser in the World.
Bill of MS is much bigger miser than me, I think.
So, I use win95, NS4 and they work for me.

Why not? I visited the official site of
President Bush and it works very well for my
P166MMX puter with win95 or even for my
386 25MHz mainframe with its native win95 and VGA,
and it is a good position of President, I think.

But CK's site wants WinXP Pro, P4-HT 3GHz,
2Gb RAM and a flat panel 3000x2000, yes? blink

Good Luck, CK, with your new site!

No. I just said update your BROWSER. I think Firefox is available
for Windows 95... I hope. :)

I only care about standards compliance.

then Mozilla 1.2.1 and a bunch of other Linux RH9 browsers
on P4 1.8GHz just to test my own Web-pages and other ones.

You look for standard, but really there is NO this standard
in the World, I think.

You have to make your pages compatible with the World of
these browsers, if you want your pages to be visible, I think.

Yes, your site looks pretty fine on that Mozilla and P4.
But RDS site looks fine on ALL these browsers/shmowsers,
same as the President's site.

Who has the better chance to be visible?=20
RDS has, I think.

Well, Good Luck to All & All & All at All!

Ha-ha-ha!

My black submarine (not Yellow one)
had no windows nor any Windows at all.
Just 3 hardly closed round steel doors.

Do not be afraid, Bernie, thanks!

OK, I have IE3.0, NS2.0, NS4.51, NS6.1, O5.12 - on P166MMX,
then Mozilla 1.2.1 and a bunch of other Linux RH9 browsers
