Hi Pete, you wrote: > On Wed, 26 Feb 2003 14:31:35 +0100, Juergen Luethje <eu.lue at gmx.de> > wrote: > >> What is 'Habeas'? > see http://www.habeas.com/ > You probably configured it sometime in the past and forgot all about > it. Generally speaking, this could have been possible, but in this case, I don't think so. My e-mail client doesn't put any "X-Habeas-*" headers into the outgoing mails. And only my mails, that I sent to Topica, contain these headers. Also, now I see that the mails of many other members of this list contain the "X-Habeas-*" headers. And: "In Q4, 2002, Topica works with Habeas, a service designed to eradicate spam, to include Habeas headers in all of the company's Confirmed Opt-in mail." [http://www.topica.com/pop/privacy_new.html] So it looks to me, as if Topica adds those headers to the mails. At my Topica account, I didn't find any possibility, to switch this feature on or off. Then I created a completely new account, and during this procedure, I also saw no possibility to configure anything with "Habeas". This (together with 4 others) is the first mail from my new Topica account, and I'll see, if they also contain the "X-Habeas-*" headers. > Pete Best regards, Juergen -- /"\ ASCII ribbon campain | while not asleep do \ / against HTML in | sheep += 1 X e-mail and news, | end while / \ and unneeded MIME |
