Sounds like an old version. It should sign on as 1.4.4
(run with no arguments to see sign-on screen) and be
dated 27 Nov 02

I have made an amazing number of mistakes in getting Bach from
running on my machine to running after going to the web and back!

Let me know

You might try re-downloading <www.catexa.com> --
I've been known to fix things without updating
the version sad

The size of Bach.exe is 87,552 bytes

1) I am running Windows 98 SE.

2) The installation of Bach should have put 4 lines in the
   C:\autoexec.bat file to be able to find its parts:

::Bach interpreter setup -- next 2 lines
Set BACHDIR=3DC:\Bach
Set PATH=3D%PATH%;C:\Bach\bin
::

3) C:Bach\bin should have 15 dll's

For me, bag-list.bach works if I double-click it;
works if I start it from a dos box;
works if I drag&drop it to a Bach icon

I just erased Bach, redownloaded and installed it
-- no problems.

I thought maybe you were running those programs with Euphoria,
but I tried it without getting a crash.

Aha! Just discovered that Bach does have a problem
locating its DLL's.

Sure wish I knew where that came from!.

I will fix it and let you know.

I think that does it -- all runs on my system,
continues to run after installing from web.

The new file size is 990,775

P.S.
Did you know that My Computer-View-Folder Options-File Types
can lie about what application runs an extension=3F
