1. "Euphoria more powerful than C++"

The proof is in the making.

When you next have the requirment to write a program write it twice.
Firstly in C++ and then secondly in Euphoria. Or (the way I would do it)
firstly in Euphoria and then secondly in C++.

Now you can compare which one runs faster for yourself. This will answer
your original question.

However, read on...

You can also compare which language was more "suited" to the task:

How quickly did you code each version?

How quickly did you weed out bugs in the code?

How much testing was required?

If you needed help who could/did you turn to?

If you wrote the code on a Windows/UNIX platform how easy would it be to
convert the code to UNIX/Windows?

Which version was more *fun* to code?

Until you use a programming language "in anger" to actually do something
productive for you then you will never appreciate the benefits (and
failings) the language itself.

Dive in with Euphoria - there are plenty of people on the list willing to
help out.

Regards,

Andy Cranston.
