1. RE: RSS

Some validators I've tried are complaining that it's being served as
"text/plain".

For example:

Warning
This feed is valid, but may cause problems for some users. We recommend
fixing these problems.

Feeds should not be served with the "text/plain" media type

More info here:

Hope this helps,

Thanks.
If I use a file type of .xml that warning goes away,
so I guess that's what I'll do, though it doesn't
explain the weirdness at Yahoo. I just tried using a file name
that I used a few months ago when I first dabbled in RSS.
Surprisingly, Yahoo still had a stale copy of the months old
file, and used that instead of retrieving the one I just created.

3. RE: RSS

One more suggestion: I think most RSS feeds list most recent items
first. For example, MyYahoo isn't terribly configurable so if I tell it
to show up to 5 posts from the past few days, I will see the 5 oldest
posts from the past few days... I'd rather just see the most recent
posts by default, which I think might happen if newest posts were listed
first.
