... been playin' with this for a while, so thought I'd let you'all try 'er. http://www.king.igs.net/~wolfritz/test_new_tk.zip ( tiny! ) I tried to make the tests representative of win32lib's usage. Note: 1.) If you're using ver.0.57.9's tk_mem.e, you'll hafta add 'include clib.e' to it's top, since that's where peek_string() is. 2.) ver. 0.55.6, and 0.58.0, have additional unused 'debug' code, which makes them an additional 10% slower. 3.) My_tk_mem.e's functions can't be used *after* WinMain(); easy enuf to modify, but I don't know, why bother... Also gives a good idea how much faster 'poke'ing is, compared to 'store'ing.
